    Gipiemme was founded in Milan, Italy, in 1964 as a standard machine shop. Initially, the company has focused on the development and production of parts and components as an OEM manufacturer for third parties. In the eighties Gipiemme specializes in a wide range of bicycle components, in 1980 begins production of frame elements, such as the famous "forcellini", in 1984, produced the first wheel entirely made of carbon fiber, and in 1985 the first issue of Gipiemme makes complete wheels, vilseta .

     To date, rims, wheels, seat and handlebars made Gipiemme entirely manufactured in Italy, at the factory, located in Loria.
