ALAN Bikes - italian bicycle manufacturer. The company ALAN was founded in 1972, the engineer Falconi Lodovico, who worked on the production of bicycles Torpado. The name ALAN comes from the first two letters of the children of Ludovico, Alberto and Annamaria. Alan was the first company to introduce a frame for bicycles, completely made of aluminum of the aerospace class. In 1976, ALAN engaged in the development and manufacture of carbon frames, by gluing Composite Torayca carbon fiber pipes with cast aluminum tips, this method is still widely used today by many manufacturers.
Over the years, Alan Bikes cycling racers have won 20 world cyclo-cross championship titles, 5 world championship titles for tracks, multiple wins in one-class classics, and a victory in the Grand Tour.
